Gloomy Days

I love the idea of this!!!! I myself am a homebody so I'm always staying inside even on gorgeous days!!!!

One this you can do to really help boost the feel of this piece is to really exaggerate your light sources. Right now you can see in some forms (the limbs, especially) that the character is lit from the back. The torso seems to be lit from the front and slightly above. The face is somewhere in between. Another thing that could help would be to grab some references for perspective when it comes to the background. It seems similar to a top view through a fish eye type lens. (Though I may be misreading the image - if it is a fence instead then disregard this part.) You did the roundness of the shape of the face very well and your background really draws the eye! I also like the difference in values in the background itself - it helps lend to that dark inside/sunny outside feel!!!
